CLIP DESCRIPTION:
Marty (Michael J. Fox) introduces rock and roll to the young people of 1955.

FILM DESCRIPTION:
Contemporary high schooler Marty McFly (Michael J. Fox) doesn’t have the most pleasant of lives. Browbeaten by his principal at school, Marty must also endure the acrimonious relationship between his nerdy father (Crispin Glover) and his lovely mother (Lea Thompson), who in turn suffer the bullying of middle-aged jerk Biff (Thomas F. Wilson), Marty’s dad’s supervisor. The one balm in Marty’s life is his friendship with eccentric scientist Doc (Christopher Lloyd), who at present is working on a time machine. Accidentally zapped back into the 1950s, Marty inadvertently interferes with the budding romance of his now-teenaged parents. Our hero must now reunite his parents-to-be, lest he cease to exist in the 1980s. It won’t be easy, especially with the loutish Biff, now also a teenager, complicating matters. Beyond its dazzling special effects, the best element of Back to the Future is the performance of Michael J. Fox, who finds himself in the quagmire of surviving the white-bread 1950s with a hip 1980s mindset. Back to the Future cemented the box-office bankability of both Fox and the film’s director, Robert Zemeckis, who went on to helm two equally exhilarating sequels.

  1. I have a guitar buddy who is constantly, it's almost like Chris Farley talking to Paul Mcartney with the "uh… you remember when you did this?….. yeah, uh, that was cool" he'll be like "What kind of guitar did Johnny Winters play? That's a cool guitar eh?" or "who is better Randy Rhodes or Eddie Van Halen?" but the other day it was "Chuck Berry's pretty good eh? I like so and so's version of Johnny B Good better though" I go "I think I preferred Michael J Fox's version the best…."

  2. I can picture George walkin in on Marty as he listens to 80s metal. Marty jumps up being respectful and says…"Oh…Sorry dad….is it too loud?" George replies, "Well no son…you see that music has been around since I was in high school?" Marty says, "Dad? You know that's not true! ( knowing the truth ). George recants, "Yes Marty…Yes it is! I actually got in a fight with Biff and laid him out, then joined your mom at the Enchantment Under the Sea dance….this out of town guy named Calvin Klein was playing that type of music….I think he later formed a his own band "Darth Vader from Planet Vulcan." Marty jokingly disagrees, "Come on dad!"…..George states, "His first single was called "Come down and Melt My Brain."
