In “Grandpa’s Girl’ we get a glimpse into the world of Sarah, an 11-year-old girl from a single parent family, whose one male role model is her bad tempered, elderly Grandfather. We see the complicated and sometimes uncomfortable relationship between them as they are left alone together during their weekly visits– neither one really knowing how to relate to the other in a meaningful way or being able to demonstrate their true feelings. It is only later that Sarah makes a discovery that shows her a whole different side to her Grandfather that Sarah never knew.

  1. Just 2 minutes into it, so far, and wishing the sound was re-mixed. All the unimportant sounds, like the clinking of cups or the rustling of papers, are so loud they distract from or even drown out important sounds, like peoples words. hmmm

  2. What a heart warming story of true family love. And sad at the same time. A simple story, common enough. Great short story

  3. I actually cried. I tried so hard but it makes me realize that my grandparents are the only ones I've got and they only have 20 year left

  4. Man I thought that this was going to be a loving video of her and her grandpa but I read the description and it told me a WHOLE new different story

  5. made me think of what my grandchildren are gonna have to go through at least the ones who know me.and yes I cried too
